GoDaddy Reseller Program: We have been using them for about 2 years

At Cyberspace HQ, we have been Using Wild West Domains (Which is GoDaddy's brand for Resellers) for a few years, and have been very pleased with them in every respect.

While we use them primarily for domain resale, we end up getting a significant amount of business from their other offerings as well. Either way, when it comes to domains, their prices are the best I have seen. I've looked extensively at enom, register.com, etc., thinking I might find a better deal, but I keep coming back to this one.

Their reporting is fantastic, they pay well, they give you excellent price control, excellent upsell opportunities, and unlike most programs, you get recurring income when users renew services.

Godaddy (or Wild West Domains) has 3 programs. Their Basic resller, Pro Reseller, and Super Reseller. Their Pro reseller simply gets you better prices on all of their services, but it costs $99 a year. However, for $129 a year, you can get their Super Reseller program that gives you two benefits:

1) You get a 'Set up a reseller website' at which you make a commission whenever someone else becomes a reseller (The link on this website takes you to our super reseller site, so we get a commission if you become a godaddy reseller).

2) You get 25% of the difference between the Godaddy Cost and the reseller commission for every sale resellers you sign up make.

Now that may not seem significant... In fact, we are talking about pennies. However, the cool thing is (And I didn't expect this) that the moment you sign up as a super reseller, your normal Pro Reseller account goes under YOUR SUPER RESELLER account, so your overall commissions on your own sales increase. In fact, in the first 2 weeks after becoming a Super Reseller, I made back the extra amount it had cost me.

Another really cool thing about the Godaddy reseller program is their revenue share with parked domains. If your customer buys domains from you and they don't set up a website, Go Daddy sets up a temporary parked page for them. You see these all the time, full of Google Adwords links, right?

They give you 80% of the revenue from those pages. Additionally, all of those parked pages have YOUR branding on them. To take it a step further, if you want, you can take full control of those pages and do whatever you want with them.

Again, this may seem insignificant, but you would be blown away to see how many Cyberspace HQ customers sit with unhosted domains. It actually ads up quite a bit over time.

Anyhow, to sum this all up, We belong to many affiliate programs, adsense, reseller hosting, etc. And this is without question the one we measure them all against. GoDaddy rocks for resellers!

HostNine Reseller Hosting: This site is hosted here

This website is hosted under an H9 reseller account. In our experience so far, there have been some pros and cons.

* The price is EXCELLENT!!

* The features are excellent. Great interface, etc.

* Support is hit and miss. I\'ve noticed that we get much better support late at night than during normal business hours. I think this is because their night lead is a guy named Joshua, who is just really, really on top of things. During the day, when we have had problems, the staff was not very responsive, which got very frustrating at times.

* Reliability: It seems to be hit and miss with respect to which server you are on, but overall I am not complaining.

* Disk Space: I don\'t think they offer nearly enough. Their highest reseller plan only offers 25 gigs, and I wonder if that will become a problem for me. HostGator offers much more, but I have no experience with them.

* Bandwidth. Like disk space, I am concerned. Their highest level offers 250gb of transfer. This may become a problem for me.

Server Distribution: This is I think the coolest thing. They have servers all over the place, and when you set up an account, you can choose the location. I can put a site in New York, another in England, one in California, one in Iowa, etc. etc. This is obviously cool for redundancy, but consider the implication of this in terms of SEO!!! You can have a network of sites on separate IP networks, all managed under a single account. WOW!

Reseller Tools:
They really do offer it all. Their Reseller interface is excellent, they give you a ModernBill license with your account, etc.

So, do I recommend them?
Yes, I do. However, remember the support issues, and make sure they offer enough bandwidth and storage for your needs.
